Bandera Varsity Bulldogs vs. Wimberley Texans

A very hard played game.  Our Dogs tried and tried with heart.  Go check out the pictures.

Bandera Bulldogs Freshmen & JV vs. LaVernia

Our Freshmen and JV made the trip to the "new" stadium of LaVernia.  You can see the pictures here for the Freshmen and the JV.

Bandera Varsity Bulldogs vs. Port Isabel

The Varsity Bulldogs made the super long drive down to Zapata to take on the Port Isabel Tarpons.  You can see those pictures by clicking here.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. Burnet

Our Bulldogs took on the Burnet Bulldogs.  Freshmen and JV were at home and our Varisty was away.

The Freshmen didn't appear to be meshed together and working as a team.  They played hard and made some good plays.  But just didn't have it all together.  But, they are coming around and will be an awesome team in time.  Check out my pictures from this game.

Our JV Football team, oh my gosh!!!!   What a game!!!   I am speechless and don't know what to say.  See their pictures here.

As for our Varsity Football team, the defensive line did an awesome job of holding Burnet to a very low score.  The offense worked just as hard, but just couldn't get past Burnet doing the crab shuffle just before the snapping of the ball.  It was aggrivating to see their defense do this crab walk just to pull our offense off line.  Several times it work, but Coach Fallon made some adjustments to the snapping of the ball and we were able to catch their defense off guard.  I don't care what any body says, I am overly proud of all of our Dogs.  And again, I wanna say "Thank You" to Mr. Bill Lamb for assisting in taking pictures.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. Llano Yellowjackets

Our Varsity Bulldogs again took to the field and gave it thier all.  We covered more yardage, had more 1st downs, but just couldn't pull the needed touchdowns.  But standing on the sidelines, I am seeing the cohesiveness starting build and bond the team together.  I am seeing better blocks on the offensive line and better penetration from our defensive line.  Go check out my and Mr. Bill Lamb's pictures from the game.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. Devine Warhorses

The Varstiy Bulldogs tried, and tried but just couldn't see to get on the game.  As well with the JV Bulldogs.  The Freshmen they had a better game.  But all in all, we are still proud of our dogs.

Check out the Varsity pictures, here.

And here are the pictures from the Freshmen game.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. Hondo Owls

With this being the first game of the pre-season, and first game jitters, the Dogs just could seem to sync things up.  Early in, two of our players tangled up and ended up on the turf.  Both had to be assisted off the field.  Then, there was the blocked field goal that boastered the moral a bit for the Dogs, but when our 1st string quarter back showed signs of an ankle injury, again the dogs just couldn't seem to play as a team.  I am quite sure that with a couple more games under their pads, the Dogs will be a team to stand up and take notice off.  Regardless of the outcome, it was good to see our Dogs back out on the field playing football.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. Crystal City Javelina's

It was a long and hot drive down to Crystal City, but our Bulldogs had one thing in mind.  FOOTBALL!  Their second and last scrimmage against the Crystal City Javelina's took place on their field where the temparture was 117 degrees out on the artificial turf.  But our Dog's came to play and that's what they did.  The coaches pulled this player in, pulled another player in, switched between 1st string and 2nd string with hopes of finding that right combination of players.  After the sun had gone down and all the players were all sweaty and well past warmed up, we took the Javelina's on in a one quarter scrimmage.  In the end, scoreboard read:  Bandera 20, Crystal City 6.  Check out the pictures from this game.  And I must include that I had an assistant.  Thanks goes out to Ms. Shyanne Yurrita for taking some of the pictures.

Bandera Bulldogs vs. LaVernia (Scrimmage)

The Varsity Bulldogs showed what they had learned from the past 2 weeks of 2-A-Days.  Initially, it was our offense against their defense.  Then the teams switched sides where our defense meet up with their offense.  After each side had their chance, they then split up to exercise the throwing game and the line.  Click here to see a smattering of photos of each segment of the scrimmage.

The Junior Varsity and Freshmen teams anxiously waited and watched as their Varsity team performed.  Once the Coaches were satisified that they had exercised all parts of the Varsity team, the JV and Freshmen teams then took to the field to also exercise their knowledge.  Click on JV or Freshmen to see their respective pictures.
